Enterprise

Enterprise is your perfect homestead apple. This is a variety I am very excited about growing on our farm. Enterprise apples are extremely disease resistant and perfect for the backyard orchard. They are late ripening and can be stored for months in a regular refrigerator.

Freedom

Freedom is an excellent eating apple with fantastic disease resistance. This is a tree that likes to spread out making maintenance and harvest much easier. Originally bred in New York Freedom apples will ripen in Mid October.

Sweet Sixteen

Sweet Sixteen might be my favorite eating apple. I said it. This is a modern apple that is packed with well balanced flavor. Some say this apple has a strawberry or raspberry taste. Sweet Sixteen is hardy down to zone 3 and extremely disease resistant. You can expect a yearly crop around the last week of September

Empire

Originally a cross between McIntosh and Red Delicious this seedling variety is crisp, sweet, and juicy. Empire apples notably bruise and oxidize slower than most apples. The tree is hardy down to Zone 4 and has an approximate ripening week of the last week in September.

Golden Russet

Golden Russet is an annual cropping heirloom apple. Known for it's balanced flavor this apple has been kept around for hundreds of years for a reason. It is an excellent fresh eating apple, cider apple, cooking apple and if you needed more it stores extremely well too. You can expect this apple to ripen around the first week of November.

Northern Spy

This is the best pie apple that exists. Some might say that is a fact, others just say it's the truth. Originally from East Bloomfield, NY this tree is hardy to Zone 4, has a very upright growing habit and has an approximate ripening week of the last week in October.

Gold Rush

GoldRush is a highly flavorful dessert apple hardy down to zone 5. It is extremely disease resistant and very productive. You can expect GoldRush to ripen in late October/Early November and store for many months in the refrigerator.

Idared

Hardy all the way down to Zone 3 this apple provides a really excellent balanced flavor. Famously, this apple makes a beautiful pink apple sauce. Idared has an approximate ripening week of the last week in October

Jonagold

This cross between Jonathan and Golden Delicious was originally developed in 1943 in New York. The apple has a thin skin and creamy, fantastic flavor. Hardy down to zone 5, Jonagold has an approximate ripening week of the last week in September.

Liberty

Hardy to zone 4 this seedling apple was originally bred in New York in 1955. Famous for its disease resistance and smooth easy flavor this is the perfect variety for the backyard orchard. Approximate ripening week: Last week of September.

Asian Pears

Shinsui

Hardy to zone 5 this medium Asian Pear is very sweet and great eating. This pear ripens mid to late august so it can provide a perfect summer snack.

Olympic

Olympic pears can do it all. These pears are exceptionally sweet, very large, and store great. Ripening around the second week of October, Olympic Pears are hardy to zone 4.

Hosui

This medium sized Asian Pear has an apple like texture and golden russeted skin. This pear is nicely balanced between sweetness and acidity. Hardy to zone 4 this pear should ripen mid to early September.

English Pears

Aurora

Originally developed in New York this modern dessert pear ripens early and stores well until the winter. The flesh is fine and sweet. Hardy to zone 4 you can expect this pear to ripen around the third week of August.

Gem

Gem is a modern variety that is resistant to disease. This is a sweet tart pear with a tear drop shape and more of an Asian pear texture. This pear is hardy down to zone 4.

Bartlett

This is the Pear’s Pear. Bartlett is a very common fresh eating and cook pear. This is an easier faster pear with pretty good resistance to disease. Ripening around Late August this Pear is hardy to zone 4.
